The gear hobbing machine HS 30 is designed for the fully automatic high speed manufacturing of pignons and gears with the highest precision. As the first gear cutting machine in the small module range, the HS 30 is capable to make full use of the potential of coated hardmetall tools. Cutting speeds up to 1000 m/min. are possible with this new machine concept.

In comparison with conventional gear cutting, the high speed machining offers you the following advantages:
The first cutter rotates in clockwise direction and plunges into the left front side with vertical advance. No burrs are produced on the front face.
When the full profile depth has been reached, the cutting head is lowered. The cutting spindle is displaced axially and the second cutter moves into the work position.
The second cutter rotates in counterclockwise direction and drives into the profile already machined at high speed. It then cuts through the full profile depth horizontally in parallel.
When moving out of the right front face, the cutting head is lowered again. No burrs are produced here either.

The selection of the loading device depends on the shape of the workpiece. The following loading devices can be attached:
The toothed parts are transported into a collection container, by a slide which swings into place automatically, cleanly separated from the cuttings.
